For years I thought earning a living meant sacrificing myself. Hours at the computer, exhausted, feeling something in me break every time I tried to keep the pace the internet treated as obvious.
It wasn’t laziness. It wasn’t a discipline problem.
It was a neurodivergent body trying to run on manuals written for a different nervous system.
I’m a designer, a writer, and a permanent amateur. I’ve spent years studying digital marketing, sales systems, online income models — and, in parallel, yoga, somatic work, and habits built for sensitive bodies. For a long time I thought having two worlds that far apart was a problem. Now I know it’s exactly where the thing I have to say lives.
Caracol started when I got tired of systems that assume a body I don’t have. This isn’t an agency and it isn’t a closed method. It’s one person researching out loud how to build a creative life that doesn’t cost you your body.
What brings us together here isn’t the job. It’s the nervous system. There are illustrators, yes. Also therapists, teachers, translators, and bookkeepers building their way out slowly. If your body doesn’t deliver the same amount every day and you still have to earn a living with it, you’re in the right place.
Here’s the part nobody prices in. Marketing optimizes half the exchange: the message for the client, the format for the algorithm. The person producing that message is assumed to be infinite — always available, always regulated, always postable. Traditional marketing was built for volume. Work made with a body needs depth. Those two things don’t speak the same language.
So the question I keep working on: how do you build visibility without turning your nervous system into a sales department?
What you’ll find here:
Letters from bed — essays on the body, creative practice, and earning a living without collapsing.
Asynchronous resources — PDFs, templates, and small systems that start with the body. No one-on-one coaching, no live calls, no pressure. Finishable in under 45 minutes, and abandonable without guilt.
A different pace — slower, more honest, more yours. A creative life that fits inside a bad day and still holds you up.
I’m not a guru and I don’t have the universal recipe (be suspicious, generally, of anyone who says they do). I’m the first user of every tool I share — I designed them because I needed them. If anything, I’m two turns ahead of you on the same spiral.
If you’ve ever thought maybe I’m just not enough for this, this space is for you. And I’m telling you this from the body, not just from the heart:
You’re not broken. The model is.
Welcome to Caracol.
